I've been awarded Dog Photographer of the year 2023!

To celebrate, I’m launching the 'One Dog and His Manager' project. Throughout the year, the project aims to merge art with community spirit by photographing dogs in their owners’ South Tyneside business environments. Donations will be supporting Wag & Co to benefit the elderly and culminating in a coffee table book and online gallery, this venture not only highlights the bond between dogs and their owners but also strengthens community ties and brings joy to those in need.

We all love beautiful things, things that are special, that transport us back to special memories, moments and more. These can be smells, songs but some of the strongest ones are the physical objects we can touch, hold and reconnect with a moment or emotion.


For me it's photo books, board games, framed photos, furniture and my sketchbooks. These are my gateways to times in my life. From my first moments as a mum through to family holidays and days out, the memories, or more accurately the beautiful memory reminders I surround myself with bring me a joy I can barely put into words.


I've always been creative and that's why I've worked for the last 20 years to bring together my love of art, photography and creating memories, initially for myself but more importantly for others who don't know how to best save these precious memories.


Every time I'm blessed with someone trusting me to create something special and unique for them it fills me with a joy and giddiness I carry into every session. I know I will be able to create something that neither of us could have dreamt of when we first chatted on the phone before your session. This chat gives me a view into your family, what's important and what it is you want to create something special for. That's when my artistic side goes into overdrive and I have faith that I can create something one of a kind for you, your memory and something tangible to reconnect you with this special moment.

Designing Your Experience

Your photo session can include everybody and anybody you want!


If we are photographing your beloved pet, then it might be nice to include the human members of the family in a few of the images. This also applies to photographing children: they may be the star of the show but it can be great to include the rest of the family and often the wider family too.

Before the Session

We book a consultation prior to your session to chat about the memories you want to capture. This is our chance to start co-creating your photography. 


It is also the perfect time for us to chat about who is going to be involved in the images, any ideas for themes, and any props you would like to bring.


At The Studio

When you arrive we will make sure we have all the details we need- Remember to bring your diary to arrange a time to come in and look at your presentation gallery and choose your finished products! 


We will set up the lighting and get you settled in front of the camera. We will take a few test shots to make sure everything is right and you are comfortable. We will then spend the remainder of our time together creating your images. 

Your Gallery Presentation

The gallery viewing session is an hour for us to sit comfortably with a drink, enjoy the presentation and art you have created. This can be a beautiful shared family experience so please feel free to bring anybody you like, even if they were not involved in the photo session!


From this, you will make the difficult decision of which of the many beautiful images you would like to take home to keep.

  • Where is the studio based?

    We have a comfortable studio in South Shields in Tyneside England in Northeast England. Please let us know at the time of booking of any accessibility requirements.



    In some circumstances, we are able to do location sessions closer to you

  • What are your opening hours?

    Our studio sessions are by appointment only. The main working hours are Monday to Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, with evening and weekend sessions by arrangement. 

  • What do I get with my booking fee?

    To secure your booking we ask for a £49 non-refundable deposit. This will be added on account for any pictures you purchase. 


  • Am I able to park nearby?

    There is free on-street parking as well as a small car park around the corner from us. When you have confirmed your booking we will send further information about our location and amenities.

  • What should i wear for the photo shoot?

    In general, plain-coloured clothing works best (stripes, patterns, and logos look less good in photos). If there is more than one person, do bear in mind how your colours will look together. You can also bring multiple outfits if you would like a range of photographs taken. 


    I like to photograph people without their shoes on, so you may want to include socks in your considerations!


  • What if I’m running late or need to reschedule?

    We understand that life happens! 


    If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible but depending on other bookings we may not be able to extend a session beyond your allocated time, though we will do our best to use the time you do have.


    Sometimes things come up which will require rescheduling your session and we always try to accommodate. Please give us as much notice as possible if this is the case as we will try our best to rearrange your session as well as hopefully allow someone else to take your slot! 


    Your deposit will remain on your account if we rearrange in this way but failing to attend without notice will require another deposit paid as we will have had the studio set up ready for you, and time allocated that might have been taken by someone else.
